Soon I’ll be the crazy old guy that lives in a cave and mutters to himself about plots to control people’s minds and citizens being raised as nothing but consumers who buy what they’re told and are slowly being turned into the “product” themselves. Let me assure you, I WILL NOT GO QUIETLY.
Not only do iPods trick you into letting them own the music you bought, they’re keeping track of everything you’ve loaded. But no worries, right? Whatever they do with that information is worth you lazy bastards not having to type in artist and song titles.
Ignore the crazy old man.
ADDITIONAL THOUGHT: It’s funny, I was wondering what a coincidence it was that Arcade Fire’s debut cd is made available in regular (non-indie) stores the same week it makes it’s MTV debut–and how odd it was that it took seven months for this to happen. Could it be because very few people have bought this cd, but everyone seems to have it on their iPod?
